Leg Aesthetics in Turkey

The beauty of the legs is particularly important for a woman’s body. Women who experience difficulties in the leg area often suffer from serious problems such as lack of confidence and difficulty in choosing clothing. Simple habits such as hiding the legs with loose pants, enviously looking at women who wear mini skirts, and avoiding social activities such as swimming pools and the beach in particularly hot months can cause major problems in people’s lives.

The main issues encountered with legs are leg shape, whether the leg is thin or thick, and asymmetrical leg shape. The primary methods of treatment for these issues are fat injection, using silicone prosthetics and liposuction. These techniques help to correct any unwanted shapes, sizes, or irregularities in the legs.

In aesthetic interventions, the patient’s complaints are first heard and the examination findings are determined before the method to be applied is determined. According to the method to be applied, surgical planning and drawing are made. Drawing plays a very important role in surgical planning and interactive work must be done with the patient’s active participation. In this way, the patient satisfaction after the operation will be at a very high level.

What are aesthetic legs?

“Aesthetic legs” refers to legs that are generally perceived as attractive or pleasing in appearance based on certain aesthetic ideals. These ideals can vary significantly among different cultures and individuals. However, some common attributes associated with aesthetic legs include:

  1. Symmetry and Proportion: Legs that are symmetrical and proportionate in relation to each other and to the rest of the body are often viewed as aesthetically pleasing.
  2. Tone and Definition: Well-defined muscles, indicating a level of fitness and strength, are commonly seen as desirable. This does not necessarily mean heavily muscular, but rather legs with a healthy, toned appearance.
  3. Smooth Skin: The appearance of the skin can also be a factor, with smooth, clear skin often being associated with aesthetic legs.
  4. Contour and Shape: The overall shape and contour of the legs, including the thighs, calves, and ankles, contribute to their aesthetic appeal. This might include a gentle curve in the calves or a balanced thigh-to-calf ratio.
  5. Posture and Alignment: The way one carries and positions their legs, including posture and gait, can enhance their aesthetic appeal.
  6. Length: In some cultures, longer legs are considered more aesthetically pleasing, although this is subject to personal preference and cultural standards.

It’s important to remember that the concept of aesthetic legs is highly subjective. What one person or culture deems attractive may not be the same for another. These standards are often influenced by media, societal norms, and personal preferences and can change over time.

Ultimately, the most important aspect of aesthetic legs is how they contribute to an individual’s overall health, functionality, and self-esteem, rather than just their adherence to certain aesthetic standards.

FAT INJECTION (ENRICHED WITH STEM CELL)

Basically, fat tissue taken from other suitable parts of the body is injected into the areas of the leg that need it after special processing and enrichment with stem cells. Experiments and scientific publications suggest that on average, 50% of the amount injected in fat injection will be permanent. Therefore, in cases where the deformity is low, one session may be sufficient, while in cases where the deformity is high, repeated applications may be necessary. For patients who need multiple sessions, the interval between sessions should be at least 3 months.

Before After

This procedure should be performed under general anesthesia or sedation in a hospital setting or surgery room. The average surgical time is between 45 minutes to 1 hour. The patient can be discharged from the hospital on the same day and can return to their social and work life within a maximum of 3-4 days. However, to get the final result, an average wait time of 1 month is necessary.

USE OF SILICONE PROSTHESIS

In cases where the deformity is prominent, or in patients who do not desire multiple sessions, we can solve the problem in one session. The silicone prostheses used are high quality prostheses that can be used for life. Additionally, surgical planning and drawing must be done before the surgery.

Surgery is typically performed in a hospital operating room, either under general anesthesia or spinal anesthesia. A 3-4 cm cut is made on the back of the knee area, which is hidden inside the skin connection of the back of the knee, so there are no issues with visible marks. The surgery usually takes 45 minutes and a silicone prosthetic is placed under the muscle tissue of the thigh area. The surgical incision is closed with self-dissolving, hidden stitches, so no stitches are taken from the patient. After the surgery, an elastic bandage is applied to the leg or a compression stocking is worn. The patient is discharged the same day or the day after. We especially recommend wearing high-heeled sandals in the early postoperative period so that the patient can move around comfortably. With this application, the possibility of encountering problems such as pain and discomfort is reduced as the tension in the area where the prosthesis is placed decreases. The patient can return to their social and working life 7-10 days after the surgery and after a month they will be able to do any kind of sports activities.

LIPOSUCTION APPLICATION

In cases where the legs are particularly thick, liposuction can be used to reduce the thickness. The main difference between classic liposuction and this type of procedure is that it requires more care and precision. The thickness of the fat tissue is evaluated with an ultrasound before the surgery and the surgical plan is based on the thickness of the fat tissue. The surgery typically takes around one hour, after which the patient can be discharged the same day. A compressive garment or bandage should be worn for 3 weeks post-surgery, after which the patient can return to their social and work life in 4-5 days.

Can leg aesthetics be performed for ankle circumference?

We can also perform aesthetic procedures for the circumference of the ankle. Sometimes we use fat injections or synthetic fillers to thicken the ankle, and other times we use liposuction to reduce the thickness of the ankles.

Is it possible to apply to the hip together with the leg thinning surgery?

The examination findings of the patient here are very important. If hip reduction is necessary, we can do it at the same time.

Approximately how many cm can be thinned with leg thinning surgery?

When considering thigh lift surgeries, both the upper and lower thigh should be evaluated separately. It is best to decide on the surgery based on the thickness of the subcutaneous fat tissue in the lower thigh. Sometimes the muscles in the lower thigh can be mistaken for fat tissue by the patient, in which case liposuction will not be beneficial. For the upper thigh, significant thinning can be achieved depending on the thickness of the fat tissue.

Is it possible to fill the lower leg area?

We are faced with problems such as delicacy, distortion (parantez leg deformity) and asymmetry in the whole leg area. Among the solutions to these problems, fillings are included. These fillings can be self-dissolving synthetic fillings or fat injections that are taken from the patient’s body and have a lasting effect.

What is the treatment for crooked legs?

We encounter problems such as delicacy, crookedness (parenthesis leg deformity) and asymmetry in the back area. Among the treatment options for such problems are the placement of silicone prosthesis, fat injection, synthetic filling applications and combinations of these alternatives. The method to be applied should be determined according to the examination findings of the patient.

Is filling used in the treatment of clubfoot?

We are faced with issues such as delicacy, buckling (parenthesis leg deformity) and asymmetry in the entire leg area. Among the solutions to these problems are filling applications. These fillings can be self-dissolving synthetic filling materials or fat injections taken from the patient’s body and with a lasting effect.

Can oil be taken from the inside of the kneecap?

The inner side of the knee cap usually contains an accumulation of fat in a mound shape which severely detracts from the beauty of the leg. In both my liposuction and leg aesthetic surgeries, I very much enjoy taking this accumulation of fat from the inner side of the knee cap and forming a smooth shape, and I recommend it to my patients as well.

How is leg filler applied?

We are faced with problems such as delicacy, crookedness (parenthesis leg deformity) and asymmetry in the entire leg area. Among the solutions for these problems is the application of fillers. These fillers can be self-dissolving synthetic fillers, or fat injections that are taken from the patient’s body and have a permanent effect.

Hyaluronic acid based syntetic fillers are the type of filler used and their effects can last from two to three years. They can be easily applied in a clinical setting. For fat injection options, the procedure must take place in a hospital setting and the patient can be discharged on the same day, however, a compression garment must be worn for two to three weeks.

What is the process to be applied for leg thinning surgery?

In body contouring surgeries, the right shape must be created. Patients can sometimes see muscle tissue thickness as well as fatty tissue excess, in which cases liposuction procedures are of no use. When fatty tissue is identified with the examination findings, gentle and careful removal of excess fatty tissue can be done using thin cannulas in a hospital setting. After that, the patient is given a corset to wear for 2-3 weeks and can even be discharged the same day.

Does the opening in the legs go away by injecting fat?

We encounter problems such as delicacy, deformity (bowleg deformity) and asymmetry in the whole leg region. Among the solutions for these problems are filling applications. These fillers can be synthetic fillers that dissolve on their own or permanent fat injections taken from the body of the patient. There are criteria such as the lack of openness for the fat injection option and the possibility of fat tissue being taken from the body of the patient. It is important to know that no matter how much openness there is, multiple sessions will be required for fat injections.
